hey im new to this site, but it seems the same as mx6.com. anyway i totalled my 6 two weeks ago and ended up getting a 95 TSi with some mods, but it has a bad rear end. i dont really know too much about these cars, or how much a new one would cost. it has the rear lsd so maybe that helps. any info would be appreciated.

I don't think the 1G will swap to the 2G though.
Just sent a three bolt 1G to the junkyard with a chassis.

anyone know if a junkyard would have something like this? would it be a pain to tear the whole thing apart and figure out exactly what the problem is?
when the car is jacked up and you turn the drivers side rear wheel, the right rear turns also. now correct me if im wrong, but i have a subaru with a rear lsd and it doesnt do that.

I'm not sure anything is wrong with your rear end if that's all that you think is wrong. There are different types of lsd's. Someone with a better knowledge of this stuff please chime in!! biggrin.gif

With the rear end off the ground turning a wheel in the rear on a DSM wheel make the other wheel turn the opposite the direction. The same scenario but with the driveshaft uncoupled from the rear end, both wheels will turn the same direction.
