Putting together some general stats. Who's got ABS and who's ABS free (1G's)?

I could only vote once but I think at least the last six 1G's I had here were all Non ABS.

Never had to deal with ABS on any DSM's.

'92 FWD didn't have it
'92 AWD had it removed
'90 AWD didn't even have it as an option
'90 AWD rally car same story

No ABS on mine, and after working on a few with ABS...I'm glad! That is the biggest obstruction on the passenger side of the engine bay when you need to do anything serious. Plus when I'm applying the brakes at measured levels I don't need a computer letting up on them! mad.gif

well spy, i guess I was wrong, the '93 does have ABS, but I think it wasn't working because I have locked up the tires before.

becarefull there, troy, this board has a lot of respect for nate, myself included. He is a very, very knowledgable guy who has been around dsms for a long time. he has answered many of my questions to a very indepth level that i was not expecting him to take the time to delve that deep for an idiot newb like me. I was expecting only a short line of explanation, and he took the time to write a replacement for the haynes manual on how something works. to that, i am very greatfull. i'm just saying becareful who you bite here man, nate is a very good guy.

Thanks Xian.

I dunno, Troy, I guess I thought even you could figure a few things out for yourself. Apparently you "know" what a safe maximum oil pressure is on a DSM, but you have no idea how the proportioning valve works? rolleyes.gif

You go ahead and keep doing "what you have to do to get answers" and the rest of us will keep on doing what we have to do to keep this board a nice place to visit.

Oh and btw, I gave you an answer to your question and you call me "fucka"? I'd like to see you say that to my face. In the past, I've been the one person on this board defending you when you got on others nerves. You're lucky I'm not a mod, or your ass would be gone already. ohmy.gif

EDIT: Btw, don't act like you know me. I've talked to you 2 times on the phone and regret ever giving you my phone number. Never even met you in person. I'll give you one thing, you really do know how to rub people the wrong way.

Don't assume any tone in my posts just as I can't assume a tone in yours. I take most everything typed at face value, which is really all you can do on a forum. In case you haven't figured it out, I don't take kindly to be called a "fucka" by somebody that I don't know.

Everyone else on here respects everyone else and therefore everyone helps everyone else out except for you. You seem to enjoy disprespecting everyone with your abrasive, insulting posts and obvious off-topic to downright ignorant bantering. And you just lost the last person on here that had any kind of misplaced respect for you in the first place. Apparently others on here are a better judge of character than I am.

I'll leave it up to Mike or Marcus if they want to ban you or not, cuz I could really care less. Everyone knows better than to listen to you anway.

Anyway, I've said my piece. I don't really want a pissing match. Its up to you how you want to handle things here on out.

I'll let everyone worship the walking/talking DSM Haynes Manual.

Eh, the Haynes manual's never really done much for me. I've got two and they both tend to either sit on the shelf or come out for reference and not provide anything beyond what I already knew.

Nate on the other hand has helped me out of a jam more than once with some timely advice. biggthumpup.gif

Marcus, can we start a new poll?

How many sites has Troy been kicked off of?

Troy, I know you'll read this. You are a liar, a fake. You cannot back up anything you say, and never have been able to. I realize you have no ability to defend yourself, but I'm sure you'll assume a new identity. Do yourself a favor, and in the future show respect to those deserving, and do not mock those who have forgotten more about these cars than you will ever know. Fucka. Sorry mods, had to say something.

That said, my first AWD was abs, the #2 awd was not, and neither is the fwd.
