I'm actually prety good with electrical shit and finding problems like this. If you can't figure it out in a couple days, I can run over Sunday after I get off work and we can play around with it.
That is if you can't figure it out and you think its electrical. Plus its an excuse to play around in the Laser

WOW!!!! sounds like one heck of an electrical expedition coming up for you my friend..... sorry I have no good advise besides find a good person who knows electronics and let him (or her) figure it out......... good luck!!!!
