as some know i bought AWD DSM's tranny and put in in my car....started it up and it wont go into 1st or reverse....just grinds....so if it goes into the other gears, then its prolly not a problem with the clutch being adjusted is it?

A lot of times, the tranny will be very difficult to get into gear after rebuild/replacement. Drive it a bit, just to run it through the gears, see if that helps. Josh at Slo-Pny had issues getting into 1/R at first on a recent rebuild, but after a couple of minutes of driving, it was fine.

Also check the shifter cable adjustment... I think that's probably your problem...

Shifter adjustment is right at the base of the shifter under the center console. It just takes two 10mm wrenches and some patience.
