 Why FF sucks? |

I keep on hearing it. FF isn't that bad. With Left foot braking I can.......
I will never drive FF again, unless it's for my grocery getter. Am I the only crazy man? Am I losing my mind? Did I miss out on something? -------------------- Somebody make the pain stop. They won't let me go.

Front engine, Front wheel drive. ill have to agree that ff is not at all exciting compared to FR,MR, and AWD.

FF is only good for keeping the weight down, you do need to left foot brake to get quick transfer of weight otherwise your car won't rotate for diddly. Or if you're FF just get a stiff as nails rear sway bar and you'll have the same effekt

I'm not the biggest fan of AWD. I prefer RWD. But I can see how you guys like AWD. It makes sense to me. But I will never understand the guys that preach the benifits of FF. All of them saying they can left foot brake and all that understeer will just go away. I didn't know that precise LFB was such an easy skill to learn and apply. And then they go on about my FF gets slip angle just like an MR. I smell BS.

If you have good suspension and tires its really not that bad. The launch maybe a little shitty but if you've got a good set up you'll be alright.

Speaking from experience here, awd is VERY easy to toss into a corner wrecklessly and still come out of the situation with very good control, but I used to own an MR2 and it would out handle the hell out of an gsx any day. The suspension was bone stock yet it could hang with my lowered awd all day. The biggest difference between the two, was that it took some skill to push the mr2 to the limit and knowing when to stop, or else.... snap oversteer. I prefered the mr2's handling also because of its nimble steering feel. But dont get me wrong, I've thrown the GSX into some pretty serious turns and came out no problem.

i best handling car ive ever ridden in was a 95ish 911 turbo. RR, all stock. of course the driver had been racing porsches for 30+ years and knew how to drive well, but still, it was the most exciting and scariest time ive ever had in an automobile.
my car is a fatty, 3500+ and it steers and handles very good. it has Nismo springs, f/r Nismo stbs and tockico HP shocks. for how heavy it is, i think it handles awesome. plus all that torque is great for gettin sideways!!! on a side note, how come any of the big names in drifting ever have a z32 car? i know its not because they are too heavy, i cant imagine it weighs more than that R32 gt-r sedan. just a thought. -------------------- 2001 Chevy Silverado ext. cab 4x4
