Legs is my car, by the way. To bring you all up to speed... Cordova's 14.019 run at 21psi (on stock i/c and injectors) claimed my #2 piston. It was either the boost or the fact that I went through the traps at around 7700 rpm. Either way, she is close to being let loose once again. The block has been honed, all rings replaced, as well as rod bearings. New head gasket is in place, and the head is on. Finished the timing belt this afternoon. What is left? Valve cover needs installed, as well as the timing cover. Wiring harness needs plugged back in to all necessary connectors. S-AFC needs set to accomodate 550's. Supra side-mount plumbing needs finished. We're close, and I'm nervous. So many things can go wrong... She will be on the street by the end of next week, which in DSM-land means sometime in the Spring of '06. Five more hours of work (20+ in reality) and she'll be rolling under her own power again. Compression checks out OK, the engine is tight, meaning a bit difficult to spin w/no plugs, but I understand that is normal for a fresh engine. Big thanks to Travis, Spy, Nate, Marcus, etc.. Huge technical/moral/parts support all around. I'll give an update on Monday or Tuesday.
