So my oil cooler bolt comes loose about every 3000 miles or so. what should i get to replace it so i dont have that problem. i heard you can get the 90, oil coolers, so i will never have that problem. Or do they make a diffrent one, what do you guys think?

If you can get your hands on a '90 air-oil cooler, do it. They cool better than the water-oil, you can't accidentally tighten the filter down too much and crush the fins, and the inner bolt is cast onto the filter housing so it doesn't come loose.
I had the same problem you are describing and wasn't able to fix it with threadlocker or anything. Glad I got the '90 oil cooler though. |
