I'm paying about $60 a month with Country Insurance (went up from $45 for no reason at all) I'm 21, drive a 98 S10 pickup, and have a record dirtier than Spy's backside. I was quoted a price of just under $100 if I want to put the Talon on liability only as well and drive both of them at the same time. Probably not going to go that route but who knows.

I pay $110/month for 3 cars and home insurance with State Farm.
It's about $32 for the Talon with just liability. -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

I think mine is around $220 every 6 months with State Farm. We also have a mini-van and house with State Farm so I get the multi-line discount deal. Being married helps too. The higher your deductible, the cheaper it will be too. Of course, repairs will cost you more then too.

QUOTE (TotalEclipse97 @ Aug 31 2005, 11:47 AM) are you guys running though your parents? i heard that mine would likely triple if i switched to sole owner I'm 36...I don't think my dad will let me on his insurance anymore! ![]() Black_93 is right, being married helps. Also if you can put your wife on the most expensive car, sometimes that can lower your rates. Having a cheap beater listed as your primary car can help also. I think my agent has my wife's 01 Impala listed as a "pleasure" car, even though we put 15-20K a year on it. Some insurance company's will check milage eventually, but you can lower your rates for a while. -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

I pay $64/mo for my 97 M3 (full coverage) and $26/mo for my 93 Nissan BattleMax (minimal coverage). I think the wife pays $55/mo for full coverage on her 05 Mini cooper S. I really have no complaints.
Insurance is state farm. I am 28, married. I have multi-car and multi-line discount. Some of you guys might be able to get multi-line discount by having something cheap insured... like jewelry or the smallest life insurance policy you can get. This could potentially drop your car rates to lower than it costs for the small policy (read: this is an alternative to having homeowners insurance). Multi-car discounts are just a second DSM away, lol. |

96 TSI- full coverage, only car covered, no multiline discounts meaning that is the only policy I have with them. Only a 250.00 deductible on collision no deductible on comprehensive meaning if I beak a window or somebody keys my car or something like that I dont have to pay anything. State Farm 67.56 per month. would be less if I chose to pay it every 6 or every year.
