The probe should be installed about midway down the cylinder #1 runner (the one closest to the timing belt). 1650 deg F or 900 deg C is what I've always heard is the hottest you want to see. But I personally think its better to tune by knock than EGT's.

I don't have a way to log knock
![]() otherwise I'd be throwing the maf-t, big turbo, and other goodies on there. I dont have any way to know whats going on with the engine other than the EGT. o yea and some time and a place to do it. |
