Best FMIC deal I found with out a 'group buy' was from Dejon which I also have respect for. So that's my suggestion....piping and all.

Step 1: Buy a high quality core
Step 2: Mount said core in the spot you want it, without being hooked up.
Step 3: Call me, drop the car off at my house, and pick up the car 2-3 days later.
Step 4: Give me one hell of a deal on those black Fittipaldis.

Seriously. Way cheaper.

Paco from CII has been tring to talk me into getting an NPR FMIC. I dont have any personal experience with FMIC's but I think they are probably too big. But at the same time I've seen them be very effectively used on RX7's and other rather large flowing turbo projects. The RX7 guys lvoe them. Ive seen them go as low as $200 and he said they can be found for as low as $175 on the RX7 forums sometimes. Too big tough? 19.5X14.5X2 with 2.5" inlets\outlets.

2" is not wide enough. You want something that is AT LEAST 2.5", but the NABR guys say 3" is the way to go.

No personal experience with this kit, but check out www.adfxracing.com for their dsm fmic. I was thinking of going with it.

That's the other one I was trying to think of. I've heard good things about that kit as well.

Here is another possibility. This kit is similar to the top to bottom flow adfx kit which is also similar to the kit that I run on my car:

I've been thinking about running this guys intercooler. It looks like a nice clean and easy install and should be big enough to handle my 16G. What are everybodies opinions on the different types of cores (IE bar and plate vs. tube and fin?) If you read the guys comments, everybody is super pleased with it and his service.

I run an extruded core tube and fin top to bottom flow design. The tube and fin design is supposedly more efficient at cooling the air, whereas the bar and plate flows better and sees less pressure drop.

According to Corky Bell's Maximum Boost the top to bottom flow is slightly more efficient at cooling the air depending on design. It also sees significantly less pressure drop due to the fact that they run many shorter tubes vs. the fewer longer tubes that the side to side flow IC's run.

Absolute cheapest ive seen is $220 ish shipped, it's a 2.5 outlet/intlet intercooler that fills the entire 1g front bumper opening. Looks to me like a decent deal but kinda small if you want a BR500. www.johnnyracecar.com
