www.dsmtalk.com

I'm sure some of you have already seen this. I've never been a huge fan of dsmtalk, but it is kinda sad to see a dsm online community as large as this possibly go away.

Yea, I've been checking it every couple of days for some word. I learned 90% of what I know of DSMs from reading that forum. My favorite thing about it was that the moderators knew what they were talking about and kept the sight clean. DSMtuners is terrible about that.

I was finally going to explore that site now that I have a DSM. I had a couple of things that I was wanting to look up. I click on it, and there was that message. That does suck. It's odd, though, I just would read what you guys would post and the links to them. I am with Xian, I have learned ~90% about DSM's from you "senior" members.

I hear that. Kris tought me how to make a on the fly make shift intake pipe with no more than a paper towel roll, 1 ft of duct tape, and a pair of panty hose that he strangly enough had on at the time. Genius! And you won't find it anywhere but here.

Too bad really. That site had a monstrous database of quality information.

Can't even remember how many hours I spent reading through back tech posts there. Well sorted to the search function too.

It's really great to hear that DSMcentral has been a place for good, in-deapth information to be passed on. That's always been one of the main respnsibilities it was inteded for as well as bringing the local DSM group together.

This couldn't have been done without the countless hours that the 'elder members' have spent scouring other sites and mountains of inforamation for each task they've been interested in as Natedogg, KOU and NC have mentioned.

I don't know how many of you remember the Talon Digest, but that was the information tool that I cut my DSM teeth on and litterally spent about 2 years of evenings reading over. That 'old school' message list, as awesome as it was died off when the newer tech message boards began to become popular.

Both of these information fort knox's are great losses for DSM 'tuners'. We still have www.vfaq.com and numerous smaller groups like ourselves, but I hope that DSMtalk can at least get the database back up for searching. That's where I got 75 percent of my 4G64 information!

Yeah, I really liked reading through the old Talon digest archives. That's where I gleaned much of what I know about DSM's as well, along with vfaq, the 1000 DSM mfaq page, and TMO's faq page. I liked those more because it was easy to know what to believe. DSMtalk had some great info on it, no doubt, but sifting through all the bullshit that came along with it became a real chore. Nevertheless, it was a great source of info and will be sorely missed if they can't get it back up and running.
