1. No. That's where the 6-bolt/7-bolt monicker that we use to differentiate between the two engines comes from. One crank has 6 flywheel bolt holes. One has 7.
2. Yes, but 7-bolt rods are weaker than 6-bolt rods. 3. Yes. The crank is undoubtedly the strongest part of the 4g63 engine. Forged and hardened. |
