I am looking to do a rear seat delete in the GSX, but don't want the "gutted car" look... I was thinking some carpetted 1/2" plywood would do the trick... anyone else have anyother suggestions

I am sure I will have more idea's float through my head once I get the seat out, but I was just wondering if anyone has seen it done or done it themselves

is the floor smooth enough to just lay carpet directly on the floor???
will 1/2" plywood weigh enough to make it a pointless removal???

I am looking for a look similar to that in the Mustang Cobra type R

I deleted my rear seat by using a spot weld cutter on the brackets(can be had from MAC or maybe Sears). You can use a drill if you're careful though. Unbolt the belts and plug the holes with either rubber or weld over them. I haven't carpeted it yet but plan on using some regular automotive spray on adhesive (or epoxy if I have to) and just form it to the floorpan.
