Was wondering if a 90 instrument cluster would work in a 91+ car. And if it won't, is it a defeatable problem (need to switch a few wires, make a jumper, ect.) ? Need to know for a car I currently have.

Should work just fine. Actually I just swapped speedo face plate when we had the red car. I didn't swap the whole cluster so I don't know the answer to your question for sure.

I do know the speedos' are different. The 90 starts at 5mph and the 91 starts with 10mph. That is the only difference I see in the whole thing.
I would put it in and have a friend drive in front of you at set speed. And see if there is a difference in the mph compared to what said speed was.

Thanks, Bud!
