ok guys... I have asked a couple of people on here via phone about this already and came up with no dice so far.....

as some of you know, I am currently going to school at UTI, also currently in manual trans.....

I have so far disassembled about 3 in line transmissions and reassambled them in what seems to be complete working order.

we are going to be taking apart and building manual transaxles on tuesday.... the ones that the school has are from escorts and tempo's....

I asked the instructor if I could bring in a Mitsubishi trans for my group to work on and he is really excited to see my group taking the initiative to expand our resources....

does anyone have a junk trans layin around that I could come down and pick up this weekend?????

preferably an AWD trans but it can be a FWD if that is all I can get..... it must be a manual though

I would also like to find a junk transfer case for monday's transfer case lab....

we will be disassembling, blueprinting and re assembling according to OEM specs so there is no worry of complete destruction... also If the donor would like I will also return the trans to you after I am done... the only thing is that it will have all of the same internals as it was provided to me and since it will be my first DSM trans, I can offer NO guarantee of strength or reliability after I return it so don't give me your brand new shep trans or anything!!!!!

added bonus for the donor is that after I get a few DSM trans rebuilds under my belt I will rebuild one for you on my own time with any new guts that you want for the price of the parts... no labor!!!!!

if nessessary I would be willing to buy a trans for a very cheap price.

thanks for the space,
Ben

I could help you with the transfer case if you cant find one. I have one to a 90 that was driven without oil (bad rear seal) but not locked up or howling. Free if you want to pick it up in mt sterling (2 hours from peoria). Wont be on the net the rest of the weekend, but if your out and about, my cell is (217) 430-9788 if you want to make arangements to pick it up

I've still got a 90 AWD trans laying around the garage. I'd let it go for $50 for "higher education" purposes. laugh.gif My suggestion would be to get some syncos for it and put them in while you've got it apart, then turn around and sell it for a healthy profit. I'd do it myself, but time does not allow. biggthumpup.gif
