I am pretty sure that there are many others among me that are starting to get sick and tired of being couped up and start hanging out with fellow dsmers. Just curious as to when the fun and excitement will be kicking off?

We should have another winter-time get to gether soon.

The formal stuff wont start until later in the year when the warmth comes back. I am scheduling Slo Pny Drag Day at Cordova for May 28th this year and of corse the Sport Compact Drag Challenge on July 2nd. Mor details will follow for each event as I get the loose strings tied up.

Super16g always has the annual 40oz car show in Springfield each year. Then there are numberous cruise-in/meets as we see the opertunity to do them.

I'm always open to suggestions. And with everyone here there is almost always someone willing to meet up anytime.

I can meet in Springpatch anytime. As I only live 30 minutes from there. Anything else I have to get up with the birds, just to be on time, LOL.
I may not be doing alot of racing this year. That just depends on how close I come to breaking my car. The money has to come out of my pocket to fix it. Girlfriend said she would NOT part with money, If it was broke due to racing. HAHAAHAHA!

THats what i like to here. I mean about the car shows and stuff, not your car being broke Bud. Although Im sure everyone on here is thinking the same thing when they drive there cars. I know i do. My supervisor at work knows one of the guys who holds alot of local shows throughout central illinois so ill ask him for info to see if we could combine and do some events with them. You say SCDC on july 2nd, is it stil going on in april too, or was it changed?

The April date was found to be Easter Sunday so it was moved to July.

gotcha. That is probably a good thing and will lead to a bigger turn out of competitors.

The lack of it being a holiday should be better plus it gives more time to those that need it.

Me and some friends were wondering if there would be more DSM actioin at the river and some spots in peoria this season. Especially with all the trash coming from other forums, not mentioning any names though. Last summer at the river sucked because me and my buddies were mainly the only dsms down their, ooh and asiankid91. Most were suprised with the performance but we would like to see some of the better cars show up.
