Anyone know if there is any problems with using a 1G block in a 2G car. What I would like to do is have a 1G shortblock and use my 2G head.

Is there any differences in the block when it comes re-installing all the pumps and AC stuff.

Let me know.

The Magnus write-up is definately the way to go. If you get to searching stay away from the Road Race Engineering method. They modified the block so that it would accept a 2G front cover. Way too much work there.

Another note, if you have an auto tranny there is a spacer between the block and bellhousing, a modified flexplate, as well as a bushing under the torque converter that is required.

You will see on the Magnus site you can use your A/C, Power Steering, and Alterenator(with the 1G bracket).
