I don't think that anyone on the list save Darryl, Travis, Kris, and maybe Nate have enough mods to support that monster!! No luck trying to sell it yet?

Haha! Apparently, I need to make a mod list. No one seems to know what state of tune I'm in. Maybe that's a good thing, though. wink.gif

I'll give you a hint...I can handle the Frank 4 no problem. Can't say I want it though.

I've looked for that mod list a few times Nate. Pieced together some of it from conversations and prior posts. Care to share the whole list with the rest of the group?

Just want to know how many car lengths to ask you to spot me when we line 'em up. biggrin.gif

Since Jim doesn't get on here anymore, I might be able to help some...

Frank 4 is a very big turbo compared to most others. Uses a garrett 60-trim compressor and td06 turbine to produce it's power. I would say that this turbo could support up to 600 hp. (please feel free to correct me on these numbers guys). Jim had it set up with a tial external wg, and I think he was selling it as a complete setup. I belive the main reason that Jim wanted to sell was the extreme lag that he was getting with it. I remember one instance at the track in a race vs. marcus that marcus took Jim off the line (Jim had this on a FWD at the time), but once the boost hit, Jim made up ground quickly. At every shift in that race though, marcus would gain a half car length on him, but as soon as the boost hit, jim would make up a full car length. I think boost hit around 3500-4k. Katie should know particualars as far as price and availability. This turbo would definately need a FMIC, upgraded fuel system, exhaust work, etc... to support it.

Not trying to scare you off, just want you to know what you are getting into! biggrin.gif

If katie could get me the exact stats on it, i might be very interested.
You can't scare me with that stuff, you ought to see my bill for what I've already collected.

thanks ph34r.gif

the auto talon does not suffer from transient boost response(Keeps boost through shifts) just needs to spool at take off. Big stall converter fixes that blink.gif

Thank you soooooo much rob!!!! Hi Zach. The reason we are looking to get rid of it is plain and simple........crank walk lol j/k. We did have it on the fwd for a while, but it just wasn't the set-up jim was looking for (he's worse than a woman when it comes to changing his mind......about the set up of his cars). The turbo was awesome, and we did expeirence a little lag on the 1gfwd....however when he switched it over to the 2 g awd....it was amamzing!!!!!!!! Now he has decided that he wants to do the 6 bolt conversion and have something to the tune of a super 16g on it. He has the new mind set that he wants to drive it on the street more than the track, and feels that this would better suit that use. The frank 4 (along with the other mods) is a little more power than what he is looking for right now.
I know the turbo is practically brand new. The asking price is about $1000..........new they are between $1300-$1400........He is in colorado right now, but will be back in town on Saturday.......if you would like to give us a call you can try our home # 765-474-0385......or I am staying in Pekin/Metamora right now and you can get a hold of me at 353-1498. I hope to talk to you soon.......Adios cool.gif
