AWD is pretty easy to correct. At least if you are still going in the right direction. Practice when you get the chance. You can get pretty wild in your AWD before you loose it. Just don't oversteer.

AWD slide?! that sounds like you were totally out of control. I consider my little drift on the way to cordova a slide or drift...that wasn't too bad. Comes right out of it as you get in the gas or let off completely. tongue.gif

The winter and wet roads are increadible fun in the DSM's. At least I think so.

Dan, keep an eye on your boost gauge. People with MBCs are very prone to boost spiking higher in the colder weather. I've read of people's boost going as high as 17psi. What I found at auto X this weekend was when sliding (on dry cement) as soon as the car is pointed somewhat the way you want it to go, let go of the wheel, it'll correct instantly, and you can be on your way.

What did you think rally racing was? They drift almost every corner. btw, don't let go of the wheel, just don't oversteer back into try and correct. It is point and steer, but it's all about starting the drift right. You can play with the e-brake, or turn one way and then quickly the way you want to go.

JUST DON't WRECK!!!!!!!!!!! I hear too many people smashing up cars playing. Play in a empty lot and watch out for poles. Please.

Every time it snows you'll find my butt in the ICC parking lot practicing my "rally drifts" You just need to keep an eye out for the rent a cops. as soon as you see them just stop drifting, take a lap around ICC and resume drifting in the parking lot. DAMN winter is fun!

BTW I ent to see the transporter.... great movie.

Was it? I was kind of wondering. I read this description of it at Kerasotes website,

Dangerous complications ensue when a former U.S. Special Forces soldier-turned expatriate mercenary is hired to kidnap the feisty daughter of a lethal Chinese cook who's smuggling his fellow countrymen into France. :?

and it kind of convinced me to not go see it, but maybe I'll have to go check it out now. What made it a good movie? I liked the lead actor in his other movies (Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels)

Is this the movie where the driver knocks on a door, then kicks it down as the guy answeres it? If so I thought that movie looked solid from the previews.

Drifting is risky
Dude friday night i was in Morton at an industrial park and i was drifting...i did this one corner a hundred times last week and i swore i had it down... Friday night i speed into the corner lock the brakes drift around start to get straight and i punched the gas and lost it at 60 mph..creamed a curb...messed my car up bad...the visual estimate from the shop was $3000.00..
so what im saying is when drifting be careful cause no matter how good u r u can lose it at any time.....

This happened in April to me...so be careful...

Spyonu..why u always making fun of me drifting but you like it to?

Yup. Rememver, even thr pros wreck and trash cars. So unless you have some repair cash laying around, you might not even want to play around. I used to play on wet roads and parking lots, but not too much anymore. Just too much cost ridding on doing a few drifts. Just too risky for having a limmited car I guess.

Transporter looks like the best movie since Under Seige 2: Dark Territory. It may even rival Navy Seals 3 in terms of cinematic impact and dramatic effect.

Windell (aka DrifterX aka talonsk8r), I think you should put on a drifting exhibition sometime....as long as I and my car are protected by reinforced concrete barricades.

Imagine that, I own all those that you mentioned. As far as cinematic impact... The movie was a much needed excape from reallity,.. If I thought it sucked, i would say he guys, this movie sucked... If you havent watched it, all you have is speculation... If you dont want to see it, dont. But if you think I am going to sit here and  read your  sly humor, at the movies Dan likes to see, I got some great horse porn for you if that is you taste.

Chill! Its just a movie.
