Taking a short break. It's 5:30 AM and I've been working on the car steadily for the past 16 hours. Took breaks to buy tools/supplies/and eat a pizza. Not sure if it'll fire up in time but it'll be close.

Wanted to make sure I posted up a couple huge thanks before the sleep deprivation kicked in.

Kris: for the engine hoist and advice.

Marcus: for taking the time out of your own deadline to do some awesome portwork on my compressor housing and advice.

Eric Wort: for wrenching on DSM's till the wee hours of the morning with me.

I've got to go work a from 11am-midnight here shortly but hope to have some more progress before then.
Thought I'd start a mini thread and post an occasional pic when I took a break.

Engine is in now. Pic posted on the CII site as I can't seem to add one here.

Oh I'll be there either way. Just hope to be racing Frankenstein and not the SHO.

Well, I'm off to pick up pressure plate bolts and a K&N. midnight-7am after work will tell the tale.

See you all tomorrow. Apologizing in advance if I'm crabby from no sleep.

MORE COFFEE

ps Huge thanks to Daryl for loaning me the 2600 plate!

Marcus, there's still plenty of time to get that tranny in there. I'll get mine in tonite. Try laying on your back, bear hugging that little b!tch and shove it up into position. You just have to loooove your tranny a little more than is healthy.

4:30 AM. Tranny is in. Wanted to have it in this afternoon and move on down the list after work but I only had the time to make a parts run on my break.

Worked till 12:30 am. Heading back out to bolt up the transfer case and radiator now. It's looking like I won't be racing but hoping to have as much done as possible.

Last time I slept: Thurs night for 2 hours. Sorry if this is utterly incomprehensible.

7am hitching a ride with Eric. Making some basic mistakes at this point. Had to put the transfer case in twice. First time I bolted it all up without installing the driveshaft. Whoops

Transfer case is in, power steering lines removed and plugged. Good progress but hardly turnkey. looks like I'll be a passenger and pit crew guy today.

ahh well, it'll still be a blast!
