With the warm weather appraoching, and people getting anxious to start a little accelleration testing, I urge everyone to take a look at thier brake pads to make sure they can stop when the need arises.... I was installing the front shocks and springs on my car this afternoon when I happened to glance down and noticed that my pads were all but GONE. Probably another week before I would have been riding metal on metal. The wear indicators had been broken or bent so they wouldn't squeel to warn me of the lurking disaster. I'm just glad I cought it when I did...

The whining wasn't actually coming from the rear-end, but rather from the transfercase which is mounted to the tranny. No matter, it's fixed now!!
The springs are fairly stiff, and it rides about the same as the lowest corner of the car with the stock spings you had in it (front driver's side if I remember correctly). It rides like it's on rails now!  Sounds like you've got one heck of a project underway there! We'll have to line em up once you get it together!!
