I've been holding off on putting my alpine headunit in my 97 gsx for a while now because I was told that the wiring harness that is made for the car isnt wired correctly and that it will short out the wiring in your car if not installed "correctly" (as in, by knowing which wires arnt properly labelled or somthing..) I was just wondering if this was true at all, it sounds like total BS, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.
Also, the only reason I've finally decided to put it in is because the stock player wont take cd's anymore. When you go to put one in it wont "suck" it in like it used to, and if you push it in, it will just spit it back out at you. All it says is E 02, I looked in the manual and couldnt find anything about it. hopefully someone can help. Thanks -J.D. -------------------- 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

I've installed a few cd players before, altima, accord, mr2.. etc, but i was just told that the wiring harness is made improperly from the factory, but i guess if it worked for you then it should work in my car too..? Then again i bought the one that u splice the wires together, not the direct connect one.
