I know that safety is one of those things that you should be glad to pay what ever for, but I am on a budget and I know that there was someone on here before that had a set of harness' that they posted for sale. if anyone has a harness set for sale I am on the market for a set.

thanks,
Ben

I'm not so sure about all that DOT approved stuff but I am pretty sure if you change the seatbelts you have to have the car inspected by an inspection shop. I know the inspection shop on the corner of Morris and Market streets in Bloomington does this (not sure of the name). It was only like 20 bucks to get my grandpa's 1 ton dually inspected and it only takes 15 minutes. If you are going to get harnesses though I would reccomend a simple halo roll cage as well. They dont' really like it if you just bolt the belts to the floor and the roll cage is the best alternative. Make sure you use high grade bolts when securing the harnesses as well (like the ones that hold the seat belt mounts down in the rear seat. TCA in Charleston is the best/closest place to get a cage IMO. They put the roll cage in Mitsu 77's Talon dirt track car for 250 bucks and it's a full confinement cage so you should be able to get outta there pretty cheap.
