well, I'm about to head to the 'zone' and pick up some parts to make the vfaq leak tester. I just wanted to ask if anyone had any extra suggestions, tips, tricks. I remember reading a thread where Rob did this a while ago, so figured I might as well ask if anyone had suggestions above and beyond the vfaq leak tester.

I don't know if there'd be any 'tips' on how to do this... tighten the hell outta every clamp you see beforehand? pray your IC has hundreds of holes (stock) so you can get a new one?
