I need some help here I'm tring to figure something out.

I installed my new Autometer Oil Pressure Meter last night... I hooked it up to the new sending unit and installed the sending unit in the OEM sending unit's spot. Once all said and done I started the car and it showed nothing.... So this morning I was on my way to work and it started to move and once the car was warm when at idel it looked like 30 but when I was going down the road at 3000-3500RPM it sits at like 100... I fell this is too mcuh but I dont' know much about other people's pressure numbers.

Let me know.

I've heard of problems like this on another board where someone installs a new oil press. gauge and it sounds incredibly high (theirs was on a 2g). Honestly, I don't know if they even got it figured out but, if your stock gauge still works compare it to the Autometer while doing your test. As long as the stock gauge doesn't go over where it usually sits for that specific point in RPMs/throttle position then don't worry. I have yet to install an oil press. gauge in my car (future budget allowing) but I know it's higher than stock because when I had the motor apart Mitsu 77 and I altered the oil pump for higher oil pressure. Now it sits about a 1/8 inch past the middle mark on the stock gauge when at WOT. Think about it this way I guess, better too much oil pressure than not enough.
