I bought a brand new head and it came in today so my car will hopefully be back on the streets by next weekend. I did not buy new head studs would it be alright to use the old ones for a little bit while i get some money to get new ones? I know that they streach this is why i am asking. Also if anyone would like to help me this weekend with this project I would greatly appricate it. Please let me know rolleyes.gif

If if I remember right 7 bolt engines use torque to yeild head bolts (Stretching type). You are not supposed to re-use those. If they are not torque to yeild (1990-1992) then you may be able to re-use them safely assuming there are no defects or wear on them.

When I had my cylinder head rebuilt the first time I upgraded to ARP head studs. That's my recommendation.
