Hi, I'm new to DSM's and fairly new to cars in general. I'm looking at purchasing a 1990 AWD Tsi, but the description says "car needs a new ECU because the capacitors leaked in old one." How difficult would it be to find an ECU for a 90 tsi and how much would the parts/installation cost?... would it be much work to fix this problem? since i'm new to cars would i want to have a professional install it or is it a simple installation i could do myself? Thanks.

i too, use dsm trader, but it is also like ebay... people get burnt... if you use it... I always try to make sure they're with in a driving and ass beating distance...
