Alright i am taking off my head on my 96 eclipse gs 420a. I have the camshafts off, the valves, the cam gears, and all the computer stuff. Now i have all the bolts on the intake off but two on the bottom half that i can't seem to reach.
Is there any other thing im forgetting before i take off the head i dont know if im missing something of not but all studs are removed. Shouldn't the head just come off Granted thiss is my first time taking my head off!! Ok anyway im wondering if there are any experts out there looking for some advice Thank You Brett -------------------- 175 hp all motor! Gonna shoot for 250 hp all motor

You could use the mallot to knock the head loose if the screwdriver wouldnt do it. if you break the seal of the headgasket, you should be able to just pull it off as long as everything is undone from the head.
A chilton or hayes manual will be your best friend. Im not to familiar with the 420A motor, but if the bolts for the intake were anything like mine on my 1.8, it just takes a long skinny arm and some patience to get to them. -------------------- 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS- Pretty daily driver
