I think my starter is going out. When the housing broke that first time, the tranny tilted enough to drag the starter into the flywheel and mangled it pretty good. I'm pretty sure the end bearing in it is pretty unhappy with that type of loading also.
Anybody ever have to change one of these out? Just wondering how long it might take/how hard it is. I know unbolting it is easy, just not sure how much of a PITA the wiring is. -------------------- Eric Wort

Haha! I just had the starter go out on my AWD a couple days ago. The wiring is really easy. The main power bolts onto the positive terminal and a ground plugs into a female connector.
