My engine slowly revs itself from 1grand to 1400 and then drops back down and does it again. I was wondering if anyone had any sugestions on what this may be.

QUOTE (cjk123 @ Aug 17 2004, 05:47 PM) My engine slowly revs itself from 1grand to 1400 and then drops back down and does it again. I was wondering if anyone had any sugestions on what this may be. Start by turning your idle down until it stops(turn the BISS in) What is happening is your running out of idle map. Your putting in enough air for say 1900 RPM. When it hits 1601 the idle fuel maps run out. At that point it sees 0 throttle, thinks your decelerating and shuts fuel off. By 1400 it's thinking about idle again and pumping the fuel back in. I agree with -------------------- GVR4 866/1000 = the perpetually broken car
