i don't entirely agree with you on how easy it is. Spy would be a good person to ask, as well as eric. You can look up spy's thread for when he created the fiberglass scoop. Sure, fiber glass is a different material, but in either case, it takes a lot of time, anal precision, and hard work to create a stock look alike with pin holes that doesn't look like a ugly bag of mostly water. that's why they cost $500 even though the material doesn't cost that much. Also, if it were so easy, everyone would already have them.
i sit in the same boat as you as wanting to get it done myself, for costs reasons, but not everyone has the time, connections or recourses, and of course i wouldn't look at doing it without some one like eric who is very familiar with working with the material. -------------------- game over.
