Can anybody tell me how I can get a non running awd car from Chicago back to Peoria? Is there a company that I can get ahold of, or anyone that wants to make a few $ and might be able to help me out? I have a friend that has an old van so I guess I could find a trailer, anywhere I might be able to rent one? I'm lost, and need to pick up a roller I found in Chicago by next weekend.

QUOTE (AWD DSM 1 @ Aug 29 2004, 07:10 AM) Dolly won't work for an AWD, but they do rent trailers also. They're like $50 a day, and don't work too bad. Probably your best bet. Unless the vehicle being used to tow the trailer and car is large enough, U-haul won't let you rent from them. You CAN rent a tow dolly from them, though. You have to disconnect the driveshaft from the rear diff (via removing 4 bolts) and tie it up underneath the car. I towed mine all the way from Virginia this way, so I KNOW it works.
