Car: 1991 Plymouth Laser 2.0L DOHC Non-Turbo 5spd. 108,000 miles. Everything works and it has absolutely no rust!!
I finally found a cheap car to get me around (since I just bought a house) and when I went to pick it up the fuel pump quit working. The car has power to the pump, but it doesn't pump. It does run however. I sprayed alittle ether and it took right off! Anyway I was wondering if there were any resources online to see the step by step install of the fuel pump in a '91 N/A Laser with a 2.0L DOHC. I've searched and searched but maybe I missed something? Any other tech help appreciated! Thanks! |

Thanks everyone! The fuel pump went in nicely (2.5hrs start to finish) and the car runs. Just have to track down the noise coming from the timing belt side of the engine. It has a rattle when I rev it up. Could it be a tensioner? Also the oil pressure gauge goes to good oil pressure then it falls to zero after about 15 seconds. No low oil light though. Any thoughts? Are DSM's know for this? Otherwise it idles and runs great!
