i was wondering if any one knows if a 2.0 head with turbo will align with a 1.8L block or would it be easier to just switch motors?

The 1.8 isn't worth keeping. Most engine importers have na 4g63s for around $500. And to be honest, I'm not sure of any potential wiring issues you may run into. Buy a turbo car, it'll be cheaper in the long run.
