what can possably be the difference between Hucks 92 octane and BP 93 octane???? thats what I asked myself too..... but the logger tells all

last night while logging my car we were fighting a nasty fuel cut and chased a boost leak.....
we finally got my fuel leaned out enough that the fuel cut went away, but we were still finding 17-21 counts of knock between 4500 and 6000 RPM

that is until I decided that it was time to refuel

ncgalant and I stopped at BP and filled my GSX with 93 octane

we decided to do one final pull with the good stuff and WOW!!!!!! 6 counts of knock all the way past 6000

I didn't think it was going to make that huge of a difference but it did..... its 93 octane for me, from now on....

I've been going to BP in Maryland. There is some additive in the gas in the DC area that makes it burn cleaner. however, it makes your car run worse.
