I've been doing some research into sheet metal intakes lately. I saw a couple of dyno comparisons, and read a few threads on other boards. I can look up links to the dyno comparisons that I found. But, I was curious if anyone had anymore sheet metal shoot outs in their favorite links. I'm kind of leaning towards the magnus. It seems to offer a fair spool up time, not too much loss in low end torque and midrange, as well as good upper end. Also, it can have the stock tb bolt right up, and correct me if I'm wrong here, the stock 1g, 90 in particular, seems to get a decent review. I've heard a few bad things about the BBK. Overall it seems to have the right bang for the buck, and it's tried, tested, and proven to be good. again, shooting for 10seconds. Streetability is of slight concern, but not as great as good times. thoughts and links? thanks in advance for the help. ![]() -------------------- game over.

I've had the magnus and the FRH manifold though the FRH is cast not 'sheet metal'.
I thought you had a BJ manifold or some other strokeable commodity? Overall, I'd say the difference is negligible. The biggest things are that the Magnus weighs less, is prettier and in my opinion, less durable. In my head I think I noticed a slight midrange gain with the FRH, but it could have been just a perceived gain. If you've got an aftermarket one already I'd say stick with it. In fact, if you've got a stock 1g manifold I'd save the money and spend it elsewhere. If you're looking to buy a FRH, I'll sell you mine. My desire for an AEM EMS currently exceeds my desire to keep the aftermarket intake manifold. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food
