cii, the new cii sucks Options

Would anyone agree with me if I said the new CII sucked pooper?

I went there for car drama because I was amused by the kids who cared about their post count, and would make tangential remarks that were only mildly car related. It was a diverse crowd of jackasses, jerks, trolls, and inflated egos.

Now I fear it's going to be dominated by the few arrogant pricks who would rather turn it into a purely technical site. As if that site is ever going to contain 1% of the _factual_ technical information of that other car that we shall not name-tech, evolutionm.net, nasioc, etc.... Not that those sites are 100% tech oriented boards, but they are more relevant to the specific enthusiast not a regional grouping of car fans.

Just to play Devil's Advocate on the tech aspect of Cii:

Although most of us go to our car specific boards for real technical info, there are newer or less informed people who tend to have some car questions that get answered on Cii. Think of Cii as high school and DSMcentral as college.

I think it's a fine line between the general car related talk and loose tangents and the outright drama. From what I saw in the couple of hours that it was back online yesterday (before the revamp), I'd say it was headed more in the wrong direction then than since I'd joined.

Just my $0.02 though, maybe I'm one of the inflated ego's or overly strict types.

Granted, I've only had a chance to spend all of 5 minutes on the new Cii so I'm not terribly informed yet.
