I've been doing some research into sheet metal intakes lately. I saw a couple of dyno comparisons, and read a few threads on other boards. I can look up links to the dyno comparisons that I found. But, I was curious if anyone had anymore sheet metal shoot outs in their favorite links. I'm kind of leaning towards the magnus. It seems to offer a fair spool up time, not too much loss in low end torque and midrange, as well as good upper end. Also, it can have the stock tb bolt right up, and correct me if I'm wrong here, the stock 1g, 90 in particular, seems to get a decent review. I've heard a few bad things about the BBK. Overall it seems to have the right bang for the buck, and it's tried, tested, and proven to be good. again, shooting for 10seconds. Streetability is of slight concern, but not as great as good times. thoughts and links? thanks in advance for the help. ![]() -------------------- game over.

The few dyno comparisons I've seen, and I can't remember where, put the Magnus and the FRH very close, with exceptions. The main difference is in power delivery. The Magnus powerband starts at around 3700, and pulls hard forever, while sacrificing a lot of tq at the lower rpms. On the other hand, the FRH makes around 10 hp less than the Magnus, still around 40 hp more than stock, at the top end. The beauty, IMO, of the FRH is the fact that while gaining a solid top-end rush, it follows the factory manifold from idle to the point where it really starts making power, with no losses or dips in the tq curve. And it's cheaper. My .02.
