Need a 2G GST transmission!
Alright, my car broke down in the middle of Veteran's tonight. Anyone know of a place to buy a good-used transmission for the 2G GST? Also, how much will it cost to install?? Thanks in advance... |

I'm not sure what your mod list looks like man, but if you are running basicly stock you could also look for a 94-98 galant transmission. The F5M31 will bolt right up(same housing). If given the choice I'd have bought another one of those the first time my tranny went and never let them rebuild it. A galant transmission will take 300whp all day long, beond that is where you'll have problems with it. I don't have any mods, this car is completely stock. I found some transmissions from Galants here in Illinois from around $150-600. Is this a common solution for some people? |
