So today, im cruisin along, Bam, no power stearing and my battery light flicks on. I lost the alternator belt obviously. But thats not it, I parked the car, and all of a sudden i notice an extremely loud and fast Ticking noise, definitly not your usual lifter tick, coming from the head. I'm going in to evaluation mode right now to figure it out and am seriously stumped. Enless its a lack of oil (which i havent check as it was to dark at the time), i dont know. Also, i noticed when i stepped of the car when i parked it, it smelled a bit like antifreeze, i popped the hood, and sure enough it was a stronger odor. Any ideas fellas?

wow that kinda sounds like my car. only mine is not that bad. not near that loud. i did a timing belt change a while ago and didnt change the tensioner. is that what you guys think it might be. car still runs the same and it dont make that sound all the time, just ever once in a great while? and i changed my water pump the same time.
