Anyway, I just turned 17 on Christmas, and because of this, I will be able to fufill my dream that I've had since I was a youngin. Today I am giving the National Guard recruiter my ap. Most likely I'll be going to MEPs next wed. and thrus. Basic training will then follow, assuming I pass MEPs, this summer. I've always wanted to do Military, and in thepast couple years I decided on ARMY. Then recently I decided to get a head start and join National Guard. I'll be doing 11B and specializing with SAWs and 240B(?). The recruiter has already got the position that I'll fall in under, and put me under machinegunner, but I'm making him put this in writing and sign because its the best one outta the four he could've gave me. I know most of you don't know me personnaly, but I figured I'd share. I knw turbohcar(sp?) is also in the military, but didn't know the branch.

So thats my story. Wish me luck.

I was putting bombs on targets when you were materbating to the lingerie section of the Sears catalogue.

The army is a great choice for those interested in substandard human conditions, if you enjoy sleeping on rocks, eating bugs and having sand in your crotch, by all means go ahead.

I wonder why all the Army Brass, opt to eat in Air Force chow halls? The food is better, the service is better, the facilities are better.

Heres a thought, if you want to shoot guns, and get to blow stuff up and work with the Army, while still enjoying all the comforts that the US AirForce has to offer, research a job that will do that for you... Say, Forward Air Control?

8 years, wasted, doing Air support and then Satcom/Wideband maitenance. What do I have to show for it? 6 knee surgurys, a half dozen close friends that were either shot up, blown up or captured and never heard from again, all for a little certificate that says I was honorably discharged....

Hey, go for it. They'll teach you how to shoot guns. That take a whole lot of greymatter to do that.

Have you taken the asfab? Was that your only choice? The millitary is a great oppertunity to gain all sorts of usuable craft experience. Shooting a freaking lightend m-60, hardly prepares you for a career in Law Enforcement. You may want to look into being an MP, if thats your end goal.

Special Ops means dick when it comes to getting on a large department like, PPD.

I'm not even going ot argue with you anymore, its pointless, my mind is made up.
