Has anyone seen the new Eclipse in person yet? I saw one in Bloomington with Manufacture plates on it last night! My first thought as I pulled up to the back of it at a stoplight was, "damn I wonder what kinda car that is, it looks nice." Then I noticed the big "Eclipse" across the back.. I'm diggin the new body style. Just wish I was in the my 1st gen turbo to give the driver a blast from the past!! biggthumpup.gif

QUOTE (turbohcar @ Mar 13 2005, 04:16 PM)
The part about Chrysler dumping Mitsubishi is true.  Chrysler wanted out because of the recent continuation of decline in sales, and it's not just the Eclipse.

I agree, the SRT-4 is of sound design and performance but, I don't believe that Chrysler had a hand in the design of the 4G63 motor which we all love.  To be honest, I wouldn't mind having an SRT-4 in my garage.  The only complaints I've got is that it feels like the car stands too high.  The roofline feels like it's miles above your head and to me, it makes me feel like the car is a little top heavy.  Other than that, it's an awesome car for the price.

I can say another complaint with the SRT-4 is fuel economy. My friend has an '04 with 12,000miles on it and averages 14mpg in the city. On the other hand my '91 AWD Talon has over 100,000 miles and I average 18mpg in the city. I know it depends how the car is driven; etc, but I think an '04 SRT-4 should do better than my old '91 AWD Talon.. biggthumpup.gif
