I finally just undid the whole box and had to undo one bracket the box was sitting on. Wasn't really all that hard when I finally got a buddy to give me a hand. It looks to me like it hadn't been changed in quite a f'n while. There are also holes/dents inside of the grill mesh, from what, who knows. Just thought I'd share this all with you since you might get a little laugh out of just how dirty that damn thing really is. I'm also pretty sure that is what contributed to my horrible ass gas mileage. I'll find out soon enough.

nice to see you finally got it off. biggthumpup.gif

now would be a good time to insert one of those infomercials 'results not typical' labels.

but when i changed my air filter a way long time ago and was running stock. I saw a two to three psi boost jump.
