www.howstuffworks.com then select tuners.

My favorite quote "Once the right engine is bolted in, another decision has to be made -- turbo or super? " I asked myself the same question when I bolted in my engine..... rolleyes.gif

Interestingly enough, I found absolutely no mention of DSM's, Evo's, or even Mitsubishi. I guess the dsm isn't as much of a 'tuner' car as a scion or oh god...Focus....they actually said focus....

I like this one.

"Tuners also stand out by virtue of their style. Flashy neon colors, vinyl graphics, large ornamental wings and ground-shaking sound systems are all as much a part of the tuner scene as turbocharged engines and lowered suspensions."

Generally speaking, tuners in the truest sense of the word, forgo the flashy stuff and get straight to the actual tuning (ie. engines and suspensions) The rest of that brickabrack just adds weight and unwanted attention. Walk softly and carry a big stick.
