WTB: 5 sp parts car Options

I really need to get my talon going and as much as i hate automatics, i really dont even want to try to fix the automatic in my car... soooo, does anybody have, or know about any cheap cars with a 5speed and probably a blown motor or something. all i want it for is the transmission and all the parts needed to convert it over. or if you know all of the parts i would need and want to sell me thoes, that would work too. It needs to be FWD, and i think the axle splines are different on 93s and 94s, so it would have to be one of thoes considering my car is a 93. any out there???? reply or PM me

Really?  Just seems odd I guess....

If you're serious about the swap, I have a 92 MT 1.8 that I can get you everything you need for the swap (save a mt turbo ECU) for $200, and I'll even pull it for you.  Never offered it up before because I thought the parts were different. 

why would i need a different ecu? isnt it the same. there is an extra auto transmission computer, but would trash that with the swap. both the 2.0's n/a and turbo are almost identical blocks. one exception is the oil squirters, but other than that (and different pistons it should be the same)...

but yes, this 1.8 92 sounds good. where are you at?

the ECUs are NOT the same. If you put a 1.8 ECU in a turbo car you would have the most rediculously screwed up fuel maps on the planet. Remember, the ECU in the 1.8 is programmed to send fuel to a smaller motor with smaller injectors.

You could just buy a turbo ecu though and everything should work fine and dandy.
