Spy correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're not interested in buying new as in IX or X, but more interested in seeing how little you can get an VIII for once the IX comes out. I'm with miami. Wait for the IX to come out, see what happens. I bet the price of the VIII will probably drop a little. Use the money you saved to make the car quicker.
I remember netter posted an article way back on the old CII board that compared power production between a 2jz and a 6g72 mod for mod and the 6g72 actually had the 2jz beat by a few hp. If I remember right this was to about 500 hp. On the other hand, people have pulled nearly 1000 hp out of the stock bottom end of the 2jz. I doubt the stock 6g72 bottom end would take that beating. |
