Where were the first gens engines made? How about the second gens? Who owns Diamond Star Motors? Who owned Mitsubishi during the early 90s?

The 1G and 2G Talons, Lasers, Eclipses were made in Normal, Illinois at the Diamond Star Motors plant. It is now called Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturers of America and they also built the gen 3 and the new gen 4 Eclipse. Along side the Eclipsese they have made the Dodge Stratus, Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger, Mitsubishi Galant (since 95 I think), the Mitsubishi Endeavor, and some other vehicles.
One little known fact is that the Plymouth Laser was the first DSM in concept form. Basically, Chrysler came to Mitsubishi with this idea of making a car like this one. Chrysler designed it, Mitsubishi engineered it. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"
