The K&N that came in my car doesn't seem to hold it's oil. I'll clean it, oil it and in a month it looses it red color like all the oil is gone. The K&N's I have in my other car keep their red tint no matter how dirty they get. I'm worried it's not filtering correctly anymore. Any body have a similiar experience?

I didn't buy it, Darryl put it on the car when he owned it...that would be 2 owners ago.
The guy I bought it of off works with us and I know him pretty well. I also know he didn't do anything to the car when he owned it. I pretty positive he never cleaned/oiled the filter when he had it.
