A brief update on the all wheel drive's diet. Off comes the power steering, off comes the AC. Out went the interior. Sound deadening almost gone. 30 pounds of it scraped out of the interior so far. Out went the spoiler and body cladding. Bye-bye to the rear wiper, antenna and washer resevoir with pump. Center console is gone, back seats will never return as the mounting brackets have been drilled out.

Dash is gone for now but I have a feeling it'll make a reappearance soon. All that sheet metal and bare innards is looking like the fat is starting to melt off and expose the bare bones of the beast beneath. Excess sheet metal is being cut as we speak. Rear bumper tossed. Front Bumper is next. I've got a mound of stuff waiting in my living room waiting to be weighed.

Looking to make 2500 lbs with driver. Anyone think it's doable or am I just dreaming?

Well, I'm planning on deleting the sunroof soon and having that heavy glass and the inserts replaced with a sheet metal insert that'll be welded in in an effort to replicate a factory option deleted car. Thinking the front windshield fluid resevoir and pump can be deleted as well (think of all the times it's been in-op because of being clogged with wax in the jets anyways).

Not sure about how I feel about putting in all the work to make myself illegal at the track with a deleted interior and no cage. I'll have to give one a call and verify. Hoping to avoid the cost and weight of the cage as long as possible. Was just talking to a buddy wondering how much tech inspection they put you through as a first timer. Kind of wondering if the gutted interior and bottle in the back would get a 'pull over here while we give you a more thorough going over son' or if I could just squeak by with a wave through on a test and tune day.
