I'm incredibly impressed with my first impressions of Forced Performances FP3052 (Garrett 3076 with FP turbine housing) turbo. I know that most turbos will do the basic job they are designed for. I am assuming that the Forced Performance Garret will live up to it's design as well.
The look and quality of this turbo by far surpasses any turbo I have had before. I didn't even spend the extra money to get anything polished and the finish on everything has a classic and clean look. The Garrett compressor cover looks like virgin bare aluminum of corse. The custom made Forced Performance stainless steel turbine housing looks awesome! Both the waste gate and O2 housing conection are v-band clamp style and the discoloration from the welding makes for a golden almost trophy like appearance. The Tial 44mm WG is just as nice! With the whole assembly mocked up on the engine stand, it makes me think of an artizans steam fitting project from the industrial age, or a stage prop from the old time machine movie. VERY Classy. Once I get the engine passed the break-in period (Lord willing) I'll let you all know if it pumps as well as it looks. Marcus -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

No pictures at this time...
Right now I'm just amazed at the diminutive size of this turbo for the HP rating it has. It is a larger turbo by DSM standards, don't get me wrong, but the turbine side barely looks any bigger than a 14b! For comparrison purposes, my old BR500 placed the oil return line over the edge of the front motor mount. This turbo with the FP cast turbine housing puts the oil return line about an inch inboard of the front motor mount...No clearance issues! -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo
